It’s so important to appeal when ball is pitched the ball in the line of the stumps ..or outside the off stumps …and hitting the pads in line …for an LBW. It’s also important to appeal when you hear a noise as the ball passing by the Bat right in the hands of a the keeper. But…when you are fielding on the leg boundary or at Point position…..and appealing for LBW …you are loosing respect with the standing umpire. Excessive Appealing is observed in all form of cricket ….and at times had turned standing umpire OFF.
