Mississauga Ramblers, considered one of the strongest teams in H&D and T&D Cricket leagues were beaten comprehensively by Niagara Cricket Club in their own ground at Mississauga last Sunday. City cricket club visiting Mississauga for the first time this season won the Cricket match by 67 runs.

Niagara Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat first. The batting was opened by Tan Qureshi and Warana Peirus. After Tan being caught at point, Warana continued on with his highly managed batting inning with a mounting score of 64. In the middle order, Nasir Mahmood scored fast 48 while Javed Mian, the team wicket keeper, remained not out with his well played inning of 38 runs. The scored reached at 251 runs for loss of 8 wickets when STC closed their batting inning in the 50th over.

Mississauga Ramblers, in reply, were all out in the 43rd over. Bilal Akhtar and Ash Jhanji of Niagara Cricket Club were the leading wicket takers capturing 3 wickets each. Waran Peiris and Imran Aslam took one and two wickets each respectively to force Ramblers to remain under 200. At the end, Ramblers were all out at 184 in the 43rd over.
